Remember when you had to wait a week to see if your star photo came out?

Back in 2005, I'd shoot a roll of film on my old telescope setup and mail it off, hoping for the best. Now I can stack a hundred digital frames from my backyard in Phoenix and see the result before I even go inside. What's the biggest change you've seen in how you take your pictures?

Actually, you could stack digital frames back in 2005 too, it just took a lot more work on a desktop computer. The instant preview on the camera is the real game changer for me.

Oh man, mailing off the film and just hoping. That's a whole different kind of patience. The instant feedback we get now is such a game changer, isn't it?

Yeah, I used to think the camera itself was the big deal. But @webb.linda is right, the live preview screen changed everything for me. I can check focus and framing right there at the scope, so I don't waste a whole night on blurry shots. That instant fix is what really made my pictures better.
