A customer in Boise told me my clear coat looked like orange peel and I should be ashamed
He was right, my spray gun pressure was way too high and I was moving too fast. I dropped the pressure to 28 psi and slowed my passes by half, and the next panel came out like glass. Anyone else get a brutal but helpful piece of advice that stuck with them?

Watched my buddy get torn apart by an old timer at a car show. The guy pointed at his quarter panel and just said "kid, that body line is softer than my grandma's butter." My friend was crushed. But he went home, bought a bag of sand, and practiced hammering that line for a week straight. Next show, the same old guy gave him a silent nod. Meant the world.
