Had a hood fly off a 2015 Civic right in the bay last Thursday
Customer said they 'fixed' the latch themselves with a zip tie. Three hard brake tests and that hood was in my face. Cost me $400 to fix my own shop door.

Wait, you're saying a zip tie on a hood latch actually held up for three hard brake tests? I used to think customer "fixes" were usually fine for a while, but this changed my mind. That latch probably gave out at the worst possible moment, and the zip tie just wasn't strong enough for real stress. Now I'm way more skeptical about trusting those quick fixes.
