PSA: That $80 paint mixing gun from Harbor Freight is a trap

I grabbed one of those cheap purple guns last month to do a fender blend on a silver Honda and it spattered chunks of unmixed clear all over the bay. Took me 3 hours with wet sanding to fix the mess I made. Anyone else get burned by budget paint gear or was I just unlucky?

The clear in those cheap guns always has trash in it from the factory. Strain your material through a 200 micron filter before it ever touches the cup.

Ha, fair point @kelly61. Honestly I'm lucky if I even remember to shake the damn bottle before I pour it in.
