I thought the GM Dexos oil thing was a scam until my 2019 Silverado hit 140k
Everyone in the shop calls it overpriced oil for people who read the manual too much, but after 140k on my own truck with nothing but Dexos, the inside of the valve cover looks new. Pulled a buddy's 5.3 at 130k that ran whatever was on sale at Walmart in Tulsa and the sludge was thick enough to scoop. Anyone else actually seen a difference or am I just lucky with my driving?
