Just read a stat about how many cars are on the road with overdue oil changes

Found this in a trade magazine at the shop. It said over 25% of vehicles are driven with oil that's past its change interval. Blew my mind. That's like one in four cars rolling in here needing it. Makes me wonder what other basic maintenance people are skipping. How often do you guys actually see this on the lift?

Saw a thing about how our brains are wired to think our own bad luck is special. Makes sense why we get surprised.

Remember my friend Dave who swore he'd never get a flat tire? Happened to him twice last month alone. He was so sure it was a one in a million thing, @jennifer358. Turns out his whole street had some construction debris. Makes you wonder what else we think is rare just because it hasn't hit us yet. His whole view on car trouble changed after that.
