Shoutout to the guy who showed me the zip tie trick for brake caliper hangers
Was fighting with a 2005 Honda Accord rear brake job last Saturday, and the caliper kept flopping around while I was trying to get the rotor off. Tried using a bungee cord but it slipped after 2 minutes. An old timer at the Napa on Main Street showed me to just run a zip tie through the caliper bracket and around the strut spring. Kept it out of the way perfectly for the whole job. Anyone else got a weird trick that just makes a routine job way less annoying?

Man that zip tie trick is a lifesaver, nothing worse than a brake job turning into a wrestling match with a caliper. Always nice running into someone willing to share a simple fix instead of just laughing at the struggle. What other little hacks have saved you time on basic repairs?
