Compared old-school analog testers against digital multimeters on a 737 yesterday

I was troubleshooting a stubborn nav indicator issue and grabbed both my Fluke and an old Simpson 260 from the back of the shop. The Simpson actually caught a glitchy voltage drop the Fluke smoothed over, which totally threw me. Has anyone else run into digital meters hiding intermittent faults on legacy stuff?

The Simpson's got a moving needle that catches real time dips digital averaging hides, so I always break out my old Triplett when chasing gremlins on vintage panels. Digital meters just can't show that kind of transient flutter.

Yep @fionaw54 nail on the head, I keep a 260 around just for that.
