Found a corroded pin on a 737 nav antenna yesterday
Was tracing a weird VOR reception issue and pulled the antenna plate on a 737. Found one pin completely green and crusted over, the other five were fine. Anyone else run into corrosion on just a single pin in a multi-pin connector?

That green crusty stuff is no joke lol. Had something similar on a Cessna 172 years ago where the DG was acting weird. Turned out one pin in the compass connector was totally fine, just like yours, but another was half eaten away. Must be some weird galvanic corrosion thing where the metals don't play nice together. Bet you had to clean that pin or replace the whole connector. Those VOR systems are sensitive enough without a bad connection messing things up.

Did you end up having to replace the whole connector on that Cessna? @bettyh84 I remember a similar green mess on an old Nav/Com unit where the pins looked perfect until you touched them and they just crumbled. Wound up rewiring the entire plug just to be safe.
