Rant: The amount of guys I see using the wrong torque on LRU rack bolts is wild
Specifically on the 737 Classic forward electronics bay, those rack bolts need 35 inch-pounds, not just 'tight'. I watched a guy at my old shop in Wichita crank them down with a regular screwdriver handle, and we had a whole rack come loose in flight. How is this not basic knowledge by now? What's the most basic thing you've seen someone mess up on the line?

Got a torque wrench just for those little guys after seeing a rack shift during a heavy check. Marked my personal 1/4-inch drive with tape at 35 inch-pounds so I never have to guess. It takes two extra seconds and saves a huge headache later. @campbell.max, I get it, we've all rushed, but that's one spot where the book is right. Seeing a rack loose in flight would ruin my whole week.
