Dad refuses to talk money with my mom, blew up at dinner over a $40 cable bill
We were at my parents' place in Columbus last Sunday, and I brought up helping them set a simple budget since Mom keeps hiding her credit card purchases. Dad slammed his fork down and said "we don't need your financial lectures, we're fine" right in front of my kids, then went silent the rest of the meal. Has anyone else had a parent who absolutely refuses to even discuss numbers, and how do you get them to open up without it turning into a fight?
