My uncle asked me to co-sign a $9,000 loan at a Waffle House in Ohio and I froze
This happened two Saturdays ago at a Waffle House outside Columbus. My uncle slid the papers across the table right next to the syrup and asked me to co-sign a $9,000 loan for his truck repair. I just stared at the menu and said I needed to think about it. He got quiet and said, "Family is supposed to help family, that's all I'm saying." My mom called me the next day and said he already asked her and she turned him down too. I have not called him back yet and the papers are still in my glove box. How do you turn down a family member on money without it turning into a whole thing?
