Vent: My dad kept asking to 'borrow' $50 every week, so I told him I'd only 'loan' it if he signed a contract.
I printed a fake, overly official looking one with a 20% interest clause and a notary stamp from a free template. He hasn't asked for money in three months now. Anyone else used a weird trick to stop the constant small asks?

Wait, that's not how notary stamps work though.

That fake notary stamp is a power move. Nora184 is right about the stamp rules, but the point was to make him stop and think. My uncle did something similar with an IOU jar, but a fake contract is next level. It works because it turns a casual ask into a real thing they have to look at.
