Vent: bushwhacked through a "trail" on the Olympic coast that was basically a cliff with attitude
Two miles past the Hoh River junction, the route I found online turned into a washed out scramble with a rope someone tied to a root years ago, and I stood there for 20 minutes deciding whether to trust it. I went for it anyway, slid 15 feet down a mud chute, and finished the day at the ranger station in Forks asking why nobody updates the route conditions. Has anyone else had a GPX track go this wrong, and do you turn around or just send it?
