My old pallet fence finally gave out after 5 winters
Last month during that big wind storm, three whole panels of my pallet fence just snapped at the posts. I built that thing back in 2019 with free pallets from a local warehouse, thought it would last forever. Spent 2 weekends tearing it all down and patching the gaps with scrap wood just to keep the dog in. Anyone else have a backyard project that seemed solid but turned into a fix-it-every-year situation?

Honestly those pallet fences are never as solid as you think they'll be. I don't even think those pallets are meant to hold up to weather like that, they're built to sit in warehouses not get rained on for five years. You probably would've been better off just building a proper cedar fence from the start but I know how expensive that gets. Tbh fixing a few boards every spring is kind of the norm for these projects unfortunately.
