Pro tip: double check your deck ledger bolts every spring

I went out to my porch last month in Wichita and noticed one corner sagged about 2 inches. Pulled the skirting off and found 3 of the 6 lag bolts holding the ledger to the house had backed out completely. The previous owner used the wrong size fastener and never checked them. It took me an afternoon with a torque wrench and some new 1/2 inch bolts to fix it. How often do you guys actually climb under your decks to inspect the connections?
