Can we talk about how it took me 2 hours and 40 minutes to figure out my printer was out of one color
I sat there running nozzle checks, cleaning cycles, and even reinstalled the driver twice because my blue prints kept coming out pink, and I was ready to drive to Best Buy and buy a whole new unit. Turns out one of the five ink tanks was empty and the printer just never told me on screen, no warning at all. I only found out when I pulled every tank out one by one and held them up to a lamp like an idiot at 11pm. Is this a normal thing for inkjet printers to hide from you, or does mine just hate me specifically?
This is the same thing as every smart device deciding it knows better than you what you need to know. My car hides the engine light behind a menu. My phone buries the actual battery percentage three taps deep. The printer not telling you a tank is empty is just part of that club. Some engineer somewhere decided a warning would confuse us, so now we all stand there at 11pm holding ink tanks up to a lamp like we're doing a science project. It's not you, it's all of them.
