Spent $80 on a heated blanket that cooked my electric bill and my relationship with sleep
Okay so last November I bought this heated blanket for like $80 thinking it would fix all my winter problems. First month my power bill jumped from $95 to $160 and I literally thought someone was stealing my electricity. Turns out the blanket pulls way more juice than I figured, especially since I ran it on high for like 9 hours every night. But here's the bad take, I still think it was worth it because I slept better than I have in years. My roommate called me an idiot for paying $80 to basically BBQ myself in bed. Is this a normal cost jump for heated blankets or did I get a faulty one?
