The 'eat lunch at your desk' pressure I absorbed for 8 years finally broke in Denver

My old coworker in Denver said 'if you're not eating at your desk, you're not serious about the job,' and after 8 years of cold sandwiches I finally asked my new crew why they all go to the taco truck, and they just looked at me like I was crazy, so has anyone else un-learned a habit that was never really a rule?
