Pro tip: A bakery in Chicago taught me to use a scale for everything, not just bread.
The head baker showed me his recipe book with every ingredient in grams, even for cakes and cookies. Does anyone else weigh everything now, or do you still use cups for some things?

Honestly though, is all that extra cleanup worth it for a simple batch of cookies? I mean, I tried weighing flour for muffins once and it just made a huge mess. My cups work fine and I don't have to wash a scale bowl after.

Wait, you wash the scale bowl? I just put my mixing bowl right on the scale, hit tare, and dump the flour in. Zero extra dishes, that's the whole point.
