That Saturday batch of cinnamon rolls broke my streak of bad days

Last month I had a week where every single loaf of sourdough I baked came out flat and gummy, even after 3 tries with different hydration levels. Then Saturday morning I whipped up a double batch of my cinnamon roll recipe for a brunch order at Sweet Rise Cafe in Austin, and they came out absolutely perfect - light, fluffy, and that cream cheese icing was on point. Has anyone else had a random great bake pull you out of a slump when you least expected it?

The way baking works sometimes, it's like the universe knows when you need a win. You struggle and struggle with the same thing, then one day everything just clicks into place for no reason you can pin down. I've noticed this pattern in other stuff too, not just baking. Like trying to fix a leaky faucet for three days and then on the fourth try you just grab the right wrench and it's done. Those random wins are the only thing that keep me going through the long strings of failure. It's like your hands or your gut just figure it out when your brain can't get out of its own way.

Yeah @ryanf66 it's like muscle memory just kicks in when your brain finally shuts up.
