Closed my bank account after it took 23 days to fix a $90 overdraft that was their mistake
A grocery charge double posted at my bank in Tucson and put me $90 in the hole, so I called and they said no problem, it would clear up in a couple business days. Two and a half weeks later I'm still calling every morning, getting transferred, and hearing the same script from a different person each time while my account sits frozen. Finally I walked into the branch and a teller fixed it in about 10 minutes and printed me a letter, but by then I'd already opened an account with a broker and moved my direct deposit over. Funny how the bank could freeze my money in one second but needed 23 days to give it back. Has anyone else switched to a broker over stuff like this, or did I just get a bad branch?
