I finally had that perfect week with a discount broker last March

I was sitting on a small inheritance from my aunt, about $14,000, and I decided to try one of those online brokerages everyone talks about. For five days straight, every trade I made went exactly as planned. I bought into a utility stock on a Tuesday dip, and by Thursday it was up 3%. Then I sold a small position in an energy ETF right before it dropped 2% the next morning. It felt like I could do no wrong, like the market was just handing me wins. But here's the thing that made me nervous: it was too easy. Have any of you had a streak like that and then watched it all fall apart the next week?

Doesn't it feel like life has a way of balancing itself out? I've noticed that whenever I have a week where everything goes smooth, whether it's hitting every green light or getting extra fries in my bag, I get nervous. It's like the universe keeps a scorecard, and when you're up by too much, you know a bad stretch is coming. With trading, that perfect streak feels even scarier because real money is on the line. It's almost like the market lets you win a few times just to get your guard down, then it hits you with a lesson.

Yeah you're right, that streak was just the market setting a trap.
