First time my bank app actually caught a false charge before I did

I got a notification from my bank's app about a $47 charge at a restaurant I never even heard of, 3 towns over from me. It popped up right as the transaction was pending, not days later like usual. I flagged it and had my money back within 2 hours, which never happened with my old bank. Did your bank's fraud alerts ever actually help you spot something early, or do they just text you after the fact?

Yeah my bank texts me two days after and asks if it was me.

Responding to @dakota160, waiting two days is actually nuts lol. My bank sends me a text right when the charge happens, like if I buy coffee it's instant. Two days later feels kinda pointless, what if I already forgot what I bought by then? But hey at least they're checking, just slow about it.
