Hot take: Cash is still king at my local diner in Phoenix

Went to Joe's Coffee Shop off the I-10 last Tuesday to grab breakfast and their card reader was down. Had to dig through my car for loose change while my eggs got cold. Now I keep a $50 bill in my wallet just for places like that. Anyone else have a go-to backup payment method for old school spots?
