Question about whether it's better to batch payments or process them one by one
I always thought batching payments saved time, but after a mix-up at my local credit union in Austin last month where 3 transactions got duplicated, I'm rethinking it. Now I'm wondering if processing them individually with real-time verification is actually safer. Anyone else had a similar problem and switched their approach?

Ha, sounds like your credit union pulled the classic "whoops we charged you twice" move. I had that happen with a car payment once and it took three weeks to get the money back. Honestly, batching feels like trusting the universe to not mess up your spreadsheets. I'd rather process one at a time and watch each one go through than deal with that headache again.

@shah.zara, "trusting the universe" is pretty much my approach to remembering which bills I've already paid!
