My sister thinks her pulled pork is unbeatable and it's causing tension

We host a family BBQ every month, and my sister always brings her pulled pork. She brags about it non-stop, which annoys everyone. I tried to give her tips, but she won't listen. It's making our gatherings less fun. Any ideas on how to deal with this without starting a fight?

Ugh, family food bragging is the worst. My cousin does this with his "famous" potato salad that's basically just mayo and regret. He talks over everyone while they're eating just to ask if they've "ever tasted anything so good." Maybe suggest a blind taste test next time? Bring another pulled pork and have people vote without knowing who made which. Takes the spotlight off her and lets the food speak for itself.

God yes, my aunt is exactly like that. She brings this dry meatloaf every year and talks through the whole meal about her "secret blend" of spices. We're all just dumping ketchup on it while she cuts someone off to ask if it's the best they've ever had. Your blind taste test idea is perfect, @kelly.emma. Might try that next Thanksgiving and finally bring my own. Let her famous loaf sit there unnamed with the others.
