Vent: My buddy says Kansas City BBQ isn't worth the drive from here.

I say the burnt ends alone make it a must-visit, what do you all think?

Sounds like your buddy hasn't had good burnt ends yet. They're the best part of KC BBQ. A few spots there make them so well it's worth the drive.

Burnt ends are more than just a part of the meal; they're the reason you go. That second smoke patriciar49 mentioned locks in a flavor you can't find anywhere else. It creates a crust that's crispy outside but melts in your mouth. How can anyone say that's not worth a few hours on the road? When you get a plate of perfect burnt ends, everything else just falls into place. Your buddy might need to taste them to understand.
