The milkshake machine at my drive-thru spot just flooded the whole floor
It happened during the lunch rush yesterday, right after I filled a large chocolate shake. The seal on the bottom of the mixing cup gave out completely, and about a gallon of ice cream mix poured out onto the mats. I had to yell for a manager to shut it off while I grabbed every towel we had. Has anyone else had a machine fail this badly, and what's the fastest way to clean up that much sticky mess?

Did the mats get ruined, or did they survive the milkshake flood?

That seal giving out is the worst. Did the sugar in the mix start to dry and get tacky on the floor mats, or were you able to soak it all up before that set in? I've found hot water with a little degreaser cuts through the dried film faster than just soap.
