Had a spoke snap on a rural delivery route last fall
I was about 12 miles into a 35 mile rural route near Smithville last October when I heard that distinct PING. The rear wheel started rubbing against the brake pad with every rotation. I had to walk the bike a half mile to a farmhouse and ask if I could borrow a wrench. Managed to loosen the brake caliper enough to limp the rest of the way without the wheel locking up. Has anyone else had to patch up a wheel on the go with limited tools?
