Hit 500 full tune-ups last week without really noticing

Was going through my invoice book from 2023 and counted 500 tune-ups I did out of my van last year. That's like 10 a week on average, which honestly blew my mind because some weeks I feel like I'm barely scraping by. I work mainly around the Twin Cities area and most of those were for people just wanting their commuter bikes running smooth for spring. Has anyone else ever actually gone back and counted what they do in a year? It's kind of wild to see it on paper.

I used to think keeping track was just busywork, but seeing "500 full tune-ups" on paper really changed my mind. That number puts a year's worth of work into perspective and makes you realize what you've actually accomplished. It's eye-opening to see the grind measured out like that.

... well, not exactly 10 a week though, right? 500 divided by 52 is closer to 9 and a half, and if you take holidays and sick days off then it's probably more like 10 or 11 on the weeks you actually worked. Just saying, cause I see a lot of mechanics round up their numbers without thinking about the math. Still though, getting that high in a year from a van setup is pretty impressive, especially around the Cities where winter eats up like 3 months of good riding season.
