Hit 50 episodes of The West Wing this weekend and I'm surprised how fast it went

I started watching The West Wing about 3 weeks ago and somehow I'm already 50 episodes in. That's more than two full seasons and I honestly didn't think I'd stick with a political drama that long. It's the dialogue that keeps me going - those walk and talk scenes are something else. Has anyone else found themselves racing through a show they thought would be a slow burn?

yeah 50 episodes in 3 weeks is a pretty solid pace honestly. i did the same thing with The West Wing a couple years ago and it felt like i blinked and i was already halfway through season 3. those walk and talks are addictive, they make the political stuff feel like a sport. i think for me it was the way everyone talks so fast and smart, it makes you feel like you're keeping up with something important even when you're just on your couch.

My buddy timed himself once and swears the first 8 minutes of The West Wing pilot has more words than the entire opening of a normal show. I never fact checked it but I believe it, those scripts move like a train.
