Tried that 24 hour TV show marathon on Netflix last Saturday
Honestly thought I could binge all 10 episodes of that new crime drama in one sitting. Fell asleep after episode 4 and woke up to the menu screen at 3 AM. Has anyone else had a marathon just totally backfire on them?

Yeah I've been there man. That's rough waking up to a menu screen at 3 AM, it just kills the whole vibe. I tried to do all of The Haunting of Hill House in one night a while back and I was out cold before the third episode even finished. The next day I had to rewatch everything from the start because I missed so much. It's like my brain just checks out after a couple hours no matter how good the show is. Honestly marathons are overrated anyway, I find I remember way more when I space the episodes out.

Totally feel you on the "brain turned to mashed potatoes" thing. I tried to binge all of Stranger Things season 4 in one weekend and by episode 6 I was just staring at the screen, not processing anything. Ended up having to rewatch the last two episodes anyway because I fell asleep with my face on my laptop keyboard. Spacing episodes out is honestly the only way to actually remember what happened, otherwise it's just background noise.

A twenty minute power nap turned into a four hour coma (which honestly felt more like a mini death) and I woke up with the remote stuck to my cheek. My wife found me face down on the couch with Netflix asking if I was still watching. I binged all of Ozark last year and I swear I only remember like 60 percent of season three because my brain turned to mashed potatoes around episode four. Spacing episodes out is the way to go for sure, I get to actually enjoy the show instead of fighting sleep like it's a boss battle.
