A warped heat exchanger stumped me, but an old timer's chalk trick saved the day.

Chalk dust in the seams showed me exactly where to grind.

I always figured you needed fancy gear for precision work. Seeing that chalk dust highlight the seams completely changed my view. @pat_webb45 is right about simple fixes often being the most effective. They get straight to the problem without extra steps or guesswork. I was wasting time with complex methods when the answer was that basic. Lessons like that stick with you and change how you approach every job.

Used to overcomplicate things too. @pat_webb45 gets it.

Why do the simplest fixes always seem to work the best?
