Can we talk about that fancy office chair I finally bought?

I always thought my old desk chair was fine, but after a week of back pain I spent about $350 on a Steelcase Leap. It sounds dumb but it actually made sitting through those endless budget review calls bearable. Has anyone else found one thing at work that just makes the day less awful?

That line about making budget calls "bearable" really hit me. I see it the other way. A good chair fixes the pain, sure, but it also just lets me sink deeper into the same dull work. It makes me more okay with being stuck in a seat for hours on end. I'd rather have a job that didn't require such an expensive fix to tolerate it. The comfort feels like a bandage on a bigger problem.
