I finally got a straight answer about the weird humming in the server room

We have this one server rack that's made a low hum for years, and last week our new IT guy, Dave, actually looked into it. He spent a full hour with a stethoscope, checking each unit, and found the source was a single old power supply from 2012. He just looked at me and said, 'It's not broken, it's just... sad.' That one line made the whole boring day worth it. Has anyone else had a piece of office equipment with a weird personality?

Wait, but he gave such a specific reason for being late. I mean, who comes up with a story about a raccoon in the engine that fast? It just feels too weird to be fake.
