I worked in the basement of a Plain Dealer building for 14 months and nobody on our floor knew what was in that box, so we just walked past it every single day and made up jokes about it. Finally a new hire got curious and opened it up, and it was just 6 old toner cartridges and a bag of stale pretzels from a 2013 holiday party that nobody ever threw out. Does your workplace have one of those mystery boxes or piles that everyone just ignores forever, and have you ever actually cracked it open?
I mean the whole point of a DO NOT OPEN box is that you don't open it, so honestly the new hire kinda broke the deal there. In my experience the mystery is always better than what's inside anyway, and stale pretzels from 2013 is about the most Cleveland ending possible.
