Spent $150 on a label maker for the supply closet and it backfired
Our office manager bought a fancy label maker to organize the supply closet, but now everyone just takes the labels off things as a joke. I found a box of pens labeled 'emotional support writing sticks' yesterday. Does your workplace have any weird, small things that people fixate on?

Ngl, that sounds more like a win than a backfire. The labels are actually getting used, just in a funny way. It's way better than having a boring system nobody cares about.

Honestly that sounds like a better use of the labels... at least people are engaging with the system, even as a joke. It creates a weird kind of office culture where the joke itself becomes the thing everyone knows about. The label maker might be a loss, but the inside joke is probably priceless.
