TIL it took me 3 hours to fix a jammed copier because I didn't check the paper tray first.
I kept opening the side panel and digging around inside, but the real issue was a single crumpled receipt stuck in the feeder slot. Has anyone else wasted a ton of time on the wrong fix before?

Ngl I gotta ask - is a jammed copier really worth getting worked up over for 3 hours? Like yeah it's annoying when stuff doesn't work, but copiers jam all the time. You probably could've just called someone or looked up a quick video and been done in 10 minutes. Honestly it sounds more like you were overthinking it than the machine being that complicated. Tbh I've seen people spend way longer on dumber stuff, so maybe this is just how you roll. But I don't think losing 3 hours to a paper jam says anything deep about problem solving. It says you didn't want to Google it.

Tried that route once with a printer that kept eating paper. Watched three different videos, each one promising it was a 2 minute fix. They all showed the same thing but the actual guts of the machine looked different from the one in the video. Ended up just yanking out the drum and shaking it until the torn bits fell out. Took maybe twenty minutes total but the videos were useless. Sometimes machines just have their own weird quirks that tutorials don't cover.
