A guy at the gym in Omaha saw me trying to fix my squat form for the third week in a row.

He walked over and just said, 'Your heels are coming up. Try putting a 2.5 pound plate under each one.' I was so stuck on thinking my back was the issue, I never looked at my feet. That tiny change let me finally hit depth without falling forward. Anyone else have a simple cue that fixed a problem you were overcomplicating?

Heard the same tip on a lifting podcast last week.

Oh man, that's so real... I was fighting my bench press for months, my shoulders were always fried. A trainer finally pointed out my elbows were flaring out like chicken wings. He just said, 'try to tuck them a bit, like you're holding a pen between your arm and your side.' Felt weird at first, but suddenly the weight moved smooth and my shoulders didn't hurt. It's crazy how the fix is always something stupid simple you'd never see yourself.
