Just had a talk with my barber that totally changed how I see my side hustle.

I was telling him how I've been trying to get my small t-shirt printing thing off the ground for over a year now. I keep hitting a wall at about $500 a month in sales and can't seem to grow past it. I've tried Instagram ads, local markets, the whole thing. He just said, 'Man, you're selling to everyone. Who actually buys your stuff?' I told him mostly friends and a few people from the gym. He looked at me and said, 'So stop trying to sell online to strangers and go set up a table AT the gym.' It sounds so simple, but I'd been so focused on 'building a brand online' I never thought to just go directly to the one place I know my customers already are. Has anyone else had a moment like that, where the answer was right in front of you the whole time?

Yeah, that's the thing about advice from people outside your bubble. They don't get caught up in the "how it's supposed to be done" online playbook. Your barber cut through all the noise because he's not in your head about it. Sometimes you just need that outside look to see the obvious path.

I always thought online was key but @aaronf40 is right, sometimes the best spot is right where your people already are lol.
