The moment my fridge condenser coils won the fight last weekend

My fridge started making this weird clicking sound on Saturday morning, and by noon my milk was lukewarm. I spent 2 hours watching YouTube videos, convinced it was a $400 compressor failure. Turns out the condenser coils under the front grill were caked with 3 years of dog hair and dust. I vacuumed them out with a $12 crevice tool, and my fridge has been running silent and cold ever since. Has anyone else kicked themselves for ignoring the simple maintenance stuff that takes 10 minutes?

Same thing happened to me last spring, felt like an idiot for not checking sooner.
