A note from my boss's boss flipped my view on quiet firing
Last Tuesday I found a sticky note on the printer that said 'HR knows what you're doing, so stop pretending.' I thought it was a prank, but it turned out my manager's manager wrote it about a guy who kept taking 2 hour lunches. I used to think quiet firing was just people being dramatic, but seeing that note made me realize some managers really do push people out without saying a word. Now I'm wondering, has anyone else seen proof of this happening in their own office, like an email or note that made it obvious?

Man, my buddy had this exact thing happen! He found a passive-aggressive post-it on his monitor one Monday that said "clock watching is a bad habit," and the next week his project got handed to a new hire like it was nothing.
