Took 11 months to realize I was scheduling my own doom with this one manager

I had this boss at a call center in Phoenix who kept giving me the worst shifts, and I thought it was personal. Turns out I was volunteering for every open slot because I felt guilty saying no, and she just kept taking me up on it. What tipped me off was when a coworker pointed out I had worked 14 Saturdays in a row and nobody else had. I finally started asking to see the rotation sheet and noticed my name was in the 'flexible' column she made up. Has anyone else had a manager game the system just because you were easy to move around?

Yikes, that "flexible" column might be the real red flag in HR files too.
