Hot take: people keep calling any variegated houseplant a 'rare' plant and it's driving me crazy

I stopped at a nursery in Nashville last Saturday and saw a plain golden pothos with one white leaf being sold for $45 as a 'rare variegated monster' - have you guys seen this trend getting worse lately?

Saw a local shop tagging a plain marble queen pothos as "ultra rare" last week for $60. Golden pothos with one white leaf is just a reverted cutting, not a new sport. Best way to deal with it is check the price of the same plant at big box stores or online before buying. They're preying on people who don't know the difference.
