Serious question, I just realized I've logged over 200 different plant species in my local park.
On one hand, it feels like a real accomplishment to know my local ecosystem that well, but on the other, it makes me worry I'm missing the forest for the trees by focusing on counting instead of just enjoying the space.

Stop making a simple walk into a big problem. You learned something cool about your park, so what's the harm? Maybe you just enjoy things differently.

Right? Why does everything have to be a bad thing? I mean, I looked up the history of my local bridge once and now I notice the old stonework every time I cross it. It just makes the walk better, idk. It's not a problem, it's just a little extra layer to stuff you see all the time. Maybe some people just like the plain version, but finding a story in normal places is kinda fun for me.
