I used to just throw any rotors on without turning them first

Changed my tune after a buddy's F-150 had a horrific pedal wobble at 70 mph on I-35, came from a set of brand new but warped rotors out of the box. Now I always mic them and do a quick face-off with a lathe before install, anyone else deal with new parts that were junk from the start?

Wait brand new rotors out of the box were already warped? That's wild. I've heard of cheap brake parts being junk but that's a whole other level of garbage. How does that even happen at the factory, like are they just tossing them in a pile before they cool down or something? Makes me wonder if some of these parts places are just selling seconds and hoping nobody notices. Your buddy's lucky he caught it on the highway and not in a panic stop situation.

New parts are just new problems waiting to happen.
