inFinally changed my mind about fixing that squeaky floorboard in the break room
Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean, a little squeak in the break room isn't the end of the world. Unless you're dropping full pots of coffee every week, it sounds like a minor inconvenience. Maybe you could have just walked around it a bit longer and saved yourself the trip to the hardware store. Or just put an extra chair over it or something. I don't know, seems like people make a bigger deal out of stuff than they need to sometimes.

inPicked the cheaper book club pick over the popular one and regretted it immediately
With all due respect, the club voted on the memoir and committed to it so maybe the problem is people not willing to give a shorter, quieter book a fair shot.

inHit 500 transmission flushes this week and it shifted something in my head
Flushing really helped me get past those awkward stops... I just made sure to really focus on my breathing and let the thoughts come and go without grabbing onto them.

inMy body shop teacher told me I was sanding in circles and it took me 3 weeks to break the habit.
Yeah, the circular motion thing is a trap I see a lot of beginners fall into. @jessica_dixon you nailed it, once you break that habit and just do one straight pass after another, everything changes. I always tell people to hold the gun at a consistent distance and overlap each pass by about half, that alone cuts down on a ton of the mess. It took me a month of practice to stop wanting to go back to circles, but now I don't even think about it.

inGot completely turned around on the Lost Coast Trail last month
Happens everywhere now, feels like basic trail maintenance is just gone. Makes you realize how much we rely on stuff just working until it doesn't.
