The solar panels on my roof stopped working after a hailstorm hit Austin last spring

I climbed up there and found half the panels were cracked, but the installer said it wasn't covered under warranty since hail is "weather damage." Anyone else hit with a surprise bill for panel repairs after a storm?

Heard about this from my neighbor down the street. He had the exact same thing happen after a storm two years ago and ended up paying almost three thousand dollars out of pocket to replace the cracked panels.

Did you file a claim with your homeowners insurance, that's usually what covers storm damage.
