My coworker broke down her grocery budget and I had to check my own math
Honestly, I was chatting with Lisa in the break room last Tuesday about how we both keep overspending on food. She showed me her spreadsheet where she cuts costs by planning meals around just one big protein pack a week, like a $6 rotisserie chicken that stretches into three dinners. I realized I was dropping $15 a pop on takeout twice a week because I hated cooking after work. She said it saves her about $200 a month, which is wild when you add it up over a year. I tried her method for two weeks straight and my grocery bill dropped by $45 just from less last-minute runs. Has anyone else had a random chat totally shift how you handle your cash?

Holy crap, $45 in just two weeks? That's a car payment or a nice night out right there. I would have never guessed a single change could add up that fast. I gotta try that rotisserie chicken thing myself. My takeout habit is probably way worse than I think.

Grab those rotisserie chickens while they're still hot at the store they sell way better than the cold ones. @phoenixb66 you can also shred the leftover meat and freeze it for quick tacos or salads later that's how I keep my grocery bill in check without cooking every night.
